The first topic we will be featuring is the lapidary arts, or the art of gem cutting.
We will interview a famed lapidary, or gem cutter, who is based in the world capital of gemstones: Bangkok. With him we will delve into the origins of cutting, and how it has evolved over his decades-long career. He will also provide insight into the art of designing new gem cuts and explain what makes some cuts superior to others. You will learn how the Asia Lounges team selects and designs cuts for our stones to best display the beauty of our natural gems.
