9.70/2 cts Lapis Lazuli Almonds in 18k White Gold and Diamonds Earrings

Seldom do we work with ornemental stones like this delicious Afghan Lapis Lazuli almonds set but, when presented with the rich and deep blue colour of this delicate ore we could not resist! We had to stock it!

The story started with our buddy Tariq, he loves paraiba tourmalines, we, on the other hand, are no fans. He loves lapis and used to have abysmal quantities of this material and, during our early days in the trade, we were often seen in his store playing around with his lapis carvings. 

Already then, something was brewing in the back of our mind, whenever we saw the gorgeous material. It is only in late 2023 that we proposed Tariq to swap between a couple of cute paraiba tourmalines against a little over a kilo of the delicious deep blue material that the story of these earrings starts. 

At the time of the swap, we were looking for a sizeable cabochon Lapis for a pendant project and, upon seeing the feedback we got from that project, we decided to secure more of the stunning material. 

Months had passed, countless debate over shapes, cut and potential projects later our first few matched pairs arrived in the office. The time for designing was now and one of our good friends in Barcelona, who's as much a fan of ours than she is of long earrings, had been patiently waiting months for us to revert back to her with fun ideas. 

Once more, she needed elegant items to wear at the Gran Teatre Liceu de Barcelona. Whether as a patron or singer, her inimitable style was once again in our mind when creating these items.
